It is with great pleasure that here at Orthosmile we would like to introduce you to the newest member of our team, Dr Aram Navai, specialist endodontist. Endodontists are highly skilled dental specialists in diagnosing tooth pain and performing root canal treatment. Dr Aram Navai is now happily accepting referrals from dentists as well as self-referrals. Patients usually need a root canal when there is an infection at the centre of the tooth which is caused by bacteria that needs to be eliminated, in order to prevent reinfection and to save the natural tooth.
Dr Aram Navai is an Endodontist with over 10 years’ experience of general practice and complex hospital dentistry. He takes pride in enhancing the lives of his patients and at Orthosmile uses a state-of-the-art microscope and the best materials to carry out root canal treatments.
“Being able to use specialist techniques and cutting-edge technology to relieve patients from pain and allow them to keep teeth they would otherwise lose is such a rewarding process. I am grateful so many dentists continue to refer me complex and challenging cases to resolve for their patients”.
Aram originally qualified from the King’s College London Dental Institute in 2009 and was awarded membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2011. His previous positions include a year as a Senior House Officer in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in London, where he gained experience in complex surgeries including management of facial lacerations, wisdom tooth surgery and assisting in major cancer and trauma surgeries.
Aram is one of the very few dentists that was awarded a specialist training position in Endodontics at the prestigious Guy’s and King’s College Dental Institute where he successfully completed 4 years of advance training and passed all examinations with Distinction. He was also awarded the ‘Membership in Endodontics’ by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, which is recognised as the highest qualification in the field.
Aram is now a part-time Specialist Clinical Teacher and lecturer in Endodontology at Guy’s Hospital and King’s College London where he teaches and supervises both undergraduate and postgraduate students.
